Trouble playing files

Hello,

Somehow with alot of vids with the extension .mpg.001 and the 2nd .mpg.002 etc. i get an error if i want to play the file. the first file. the .001 usually also gives the error but media player can still play the file. But I can't play the 2nd and the rest usually. Anyone have any ID whats wrong?

Hi there.

You need to use a programme called hjsplit to combine the various parts back into one file.

If you do a google search....you'll find what you need. Download the programme, install it.

In order to have a trouble free proces :-

• Make sure that the files you want to join all have the file extensions to .001 or .002 etc. If any of the files end in .wmv or .mpg, they will need to be manually corrected.
• Start HjSplit, choose Join and click on Inputfile to select the first part. After clicking start hjsplit will join it for you.
• You can then delete the various .001, .002 files, as they are no longer needed.
