Default Image Grabber II - An easy way to create screens

Image Grabber II is an excellent free tool that can grab screenshots from any video file (avi, mpg, dat, asf, wmv, qt, mov, rm, rmvb, vob) and save the screenshot as customized thumbnails to a single file or multiple files.
I make all my screens with it, so you have many examples how the prog works!

Default Image Grabber 2 Issues :(

So I had this program before and it ran fine - lost the hd it was on and recently purchased a new computer so I'm starting over.

I'm running Vista now (xp before) and for the life of me I can't get this to load right - I've tried downloading it a couple times now with no luck - each time it says I need a net.frame upgrade or something - go and upload that with no luck still.

Am I missing something, is vista the problem? Can anybody recommend any other good screen grab program?

    errr....computers drive me nuts sometimes!

go to the windows update, and look for net framework 1 or 2,notice a few programs like this that wont work without it.

install the net framework update, then install the image grabber program.

try in the custom update part if it doesnt find anything in the normal update one.

Anyone who uses VLC media player, which I recommend because it doesn't require you to install any separate codex, can take screen captures directly through VLC. Just hit Video then Snapshot. The down side is that there isn't a keyboard shortcut.

Thanks Dave, I've been using VLC for a while but had overlooked that little feature. Handy. Does it do multible capture to one file like MPC does?
