    Thumbs up Another Option

Here is another freeware watermark program for those of you.

Picshark is not quite as user friendly but it is a handy alternative all the same.

    Default Watermarks

It's a reality that pictures will end up on other sites, whether watermarked or not. It's just not preventable.

However, if you want to use a watermark, please put it on the side of the picture, like a badge or signature, rather than across the person's face. It kind of ruins the picture to have the person covered in a watermark.

I rarely look at fully watermarked threads - too distracting. But ones that have a badge or name on the side don't bother me!

    Thanks!

A quick example of what WaterMark V2 can do, you can change the colour of the font to suit the background of your photo and also the transparency, it can also use graphics instead of just plain type.
Not bad for a free program.

Does anyone know of any Linux-based software that does something similar? I'd love to use this program but I don't have Windows installed on my computer.

Sorry but I know even less about the Linux OS than I do about Macs but hopefully if you have The Gimp installed this might help:
